Privacy Policy
Last updated June 15, 2026
Veild lets you send and receive anonymous messages and chat without revealing who's who. Anonymity is the product, so we collect as little as possible and never sell your data.
What we collect
- Your handle — the public link name you choose (e.g. veild.me/yourname). It is not tied to your real identity.
- Messages and chats you send and receive, so we can deliver them.
- An anonymous account ID generated by Firebase Authentication. If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple provides a private relay identifier — we never receive your real email or name.
- Push notification tokens, only if you turn notifications on.
- Age confirmation — that you confirmed you are old enough to use the app.
What we don't collect
We do not ask for your real name, email, phone number, or contacts. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not run third-party advertising.
How we use it
Solely to operate the app: deliver messages, maintain your link, send notifications you enabled, and keep the service safe (basic content moderation). That's it.
Service providers
We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging) to run the app. Data is processed on Google's infrastructure under their security and privacy terms. We don't share your data with anyone else.
Deleting your data
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app. This erases your handle, your chats, and your account from our systems. The action cannot be undone.
Children
Veild is not intended for children. You must meet the minimum age shown during onboarding to use it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
